Last of the real outdoorsmen

Today my Brother-in-law died. Harvey was my outdoor Dad. My nepew is 2 yrs. younger than I, so Harvey helped raise me along w/ Aaron, my nepew.
I never saw him get angry, drunk, mean, or anything but a true gentelman. Not a 3 peice suit type, but a strong but gentle father/friend/brothe-in-law.
Harvey taught us how to camp, fish and hunt the right way. Pack it in, pack it out.
Leave little or no footprint of our stay in the wilderness.
Soft spoken, but made of the old growth ponderosa pine and glacier fed streams he took us to. A marksman and expert at field dressing and tracking. Kept us safe from the black bear sow looking for a fish dinner with his .357.
He watched me grow and always was there for me. ..When my idiot sister divorced him, I told him that no matter what she did, he'd always be in my family.
Fortunatly, my nephew Aaron was able to tell him that he was my hero a week or so ago. ..Aaron was with him in the end and he was conscious and coherent...
RIP Harvey, you'll live forever in my heart....
